Only 17 out of 100 people can tell the difference between delicacies and dog food?

I just read about this fascinating – and shocking experiment.

Researchers gave 18 people different kinds of “delicacies”:

  • duck liver mousse
  • pork liver pate
  • two imitation pates — pureed liverwurst and Spam
  • Newman’s Own dog food.

They were told that one of the things they would taste would be dog food.

Only 3 people (roughly 17%) could tell which one was the dog food.

Guess we’re not so fussy eaters at all 😉
