the best way to protect yourself against hypnotic manipulation is to learn hypnosis. When you understand the moves someone is doing on you, it’s easy to deflect them. I suggest you check out the conversational hypnosis course by Igor Ledochowski.

Every word that you use has a different “resonance”, and our subconscious minds always process ALL ambiguous meanings of a word.

And yes, if you say “wide awake” a person could interpret that as a suggestion to switch to their normal waking state again.

If you are interested in these kinds of things, then studying hypnotic language patterns will be a fascinating thing for you. I go into detail about that in my “Hypnosis Secrets” email course (it’s free).
