It’s news like this that make people afraid of flying: an airplane crashed in Lagos, the capital of Nigeria. All 153 people died, and there are probably more people on the ground who got killed too, because the plain crashed on a residential area (two large apartment buildings have been hit).
But despite events like this taking place – the fear of flying on an airplane so many people have is overblown, because your chances of being involved in an accident on an airplane are much smaller than being involved in an accident on the streets.
